High Conflict Co-Parenting Program

Our program combines (6) six weeks of co-parenting group education with (6) six weeks of individualized co-parenting counseling. The curriculum we have adopted is evidence-based, which means it has been researched and the results have proven effective in clinical studies. The goal of our program is to help co-parents work through their differences, reduce conflict, and learn to make healthy co-parenting decisions that are in the best interest of their children.

Cost of the Class

The cost of the co-parenting group education is $300.00 for the entire 6 weeks. This amount is due in full prior to starting your first class. The $300.00 secures your spot in all 6 classes. If you miss a class, you will need to schedule a 1:1 makeup class with the instructor at the rate of $80.00 an hour. If you need to schedule a makeup class call Dr. Nick Constantine (219) 771-2303.

If you elect to participate in the class via Zoom, you may do so at a rate of $80.00 an hour. This cost cannot be billed to insurance. In order to get started with Zoom sessions, please contact Nibel Abdelsalam at (219) 484-2143 ext. 709.

Forms of Accepted Payment

We accept cash, check, or money order. Payment is due prior to the start of class.

Financial Assistance

New Vista does not discount the cost of the co-parenting classes.  If you need financial assistance please contact Luiza Krusa at the Domestic Relations Counseling Bureau at (219) 755-3683.

If attending class in person, you will be given a workbook. Every week you will be assigned chapters to complete and show the instructor. By the end of the 6 weeks, all 8 chapters in the workbook are to be completed. If you are attending class in person, the cost of the workbook is included. If you are attending class via Zoom, you will need to purchase the workbook and have it ready prior to the first session. The workbook costs around $20.000 on Amazon and is called:

Cooperative Co-Parenting and Divorce: Shielding your child from conflict by Susan Blyth Boyan (2003)

Cost of the Co-Parenting Counseling

The first step is to complete an initial intake. In most cases, the cost of the intake will be covered by insurance. For individuals who do not have insurance, the cost for an initial intake is $100.00.

After you have completed week three of the class, you and your co-parent can start co-parenting counseling. The cost of coparenting counseling is $80.00 per 50-minute session. In many cases the cost of the co-parenting counseling can be billed to insurance as family therapy, however, you must meet the medical necessity requirement. As a courtesy, we will bill your insurance. If insurance denies your claim, you will be responsible for reimbursing the cost of the sessions.

Letter of Completion

Once you have completed the class and counseling sessions, you may request a letter of completion which you or your attorney can file with the courts. There is no additional cost for the letter of completion. However, if your case requires a status update, that is prepared at the rate if $150.00 per hour.

We look forward to working with you and your family!
